It's been a long time since I wrote here, sorry guys for the lack of updates!
My exam season started a while ago, I already passed 5/7 classes. Saturday I'm going to improve my grade in Mammalogy (from a 17/20, pfffff! I know I'm crazy) and Monday I'll have my last exam, which is Ornithology (easy).
I had ups and downs, studying everyday and my hormonal roller coaster (damn you PMS, damn yooooou!!) aren't very nice to my mental health. As for body health, I'm fine! I finally got some of the weight I lost a few months ago and I'm doing more exercise to recover the rest (also, I never realized I had such strong abdominals, neat!). Yesterday was one of the "bad days", I had a Geology test today and I didn't study that much, since I had to do another exam yesterday to care about (damn you teachers who mark all tests at the same week, damn yoooooou! Also, damn you PMS! I haven't forgot about you!).
Oh well, all I want now is to rest and have my well deserved vacations...that and a position on any of the investigation scholarships. :D

In another note, in my last post I told you guys that my boyfriend broke his nose. He's fine now, his nose recovered pretty well, although he still has a scar...and a little bump. Good for me I don't love noses that much (unless he if got a Snape like nose, then I would care).

And I have more news. Remember a long time ago, when I told you about living in a residence of nuns here in Évora? Well...the Lisbon direction of this residences came and said the conditions weren't that great, it wasn't respecting the residence protocol and it was going to close for remodelations. Consequences? The girls who live here have to search for another house, which means...I have to search for another place to live.
It's really a pain in the butt, I'm finishing my 2nd years and I only have one left, one thing is to move in my 1st year, but for the 3rd? I don't think the conditions were are that bad, it's a nice place to live. I had my own room, my own space, I could use the kitchen freely, hot water all the time, water/electricity/gas all included in the price, it was really nice.
Although I'm still going to search for a new house, I'm going to candidate myself to a University residence. It's not really a place where I would like to be, but it's just for another year, plus if I'm lucky, I'm going to a residence where I have some cool friends. (And free interwebz, yay)

That's all I have to say. Don't forget I post more frequently on Twitter and on my Tegaki.
As for today, I'm going to rest from studying and go out with my friends. Partyyyyyy (not that I really drink, but it's fun to see their sad figures when they're drunk and I'm the only one sober pffff).

P.S.- I really love this photo I took (icon). It's our smart Australopithecus afarensis! Pfffff human biology classes were indeed fun.

Hum...sorry for the lack of updates. Like I said, I use Tegaki a lot more than LJ now, plus, I got myself a Twitter account (http://twitter.com/griffinbandida), which results in me forgetting I still have a Lj account. Like always, I've been busy studying for upcoming tests and such, working a lot, etc etc.
I'm a little sad now, I'm a little tired of studying and not being able to be with Alfador at the same time. He broke his nose past Saturday and is recovering now. I wish I could be with him more now, but...well, I study in Évora, which is far from his hometown. Anyway, I'll finish this post now, not only it's getting to emo-like but also because I'm sleepy and my english is failling.

Wish me luck for my test.

Oh, and I totally forgot to post this here!
Remember some posts of mine, eons ago, about some drawings I had to do for something called ENEB (in english: National Meeting of Biology Students). Well, I did them all and it turned out great :D

http://xiiieneb.org/ - This is the meeting website, it's in portuguese but you can browse throug the pages to see some of the cartoons I did.

In 4-7th April I'll see my drawings everywhere in Évora, how cool is that?

I haven't post anything here for a while now. I use tegaki a lot more for this kind of stuff anyway, even if I don't, I dislike posting emo stuff here.
Things haven't been allright. And when I think it's okay, I can handle it, something unexpected comes and throws away all my "allrightyness".

That said, don't bother coming into this journal too often, you better just bookmark this: http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/uentries.php?u=8026

GriffinBandida on Tegaki E

This last week there were plenty of good arguments of why I should drive a car. Since the good reasons overtake the unnecessary reasons, I'll get my driver's license at Summer.

And for some unknown reason, livejournal replaced my "rock" icon for a weird one. I already deleted it. Weird indeed.

I guess this resumes everything. :D

It's great to have time to relax again, more than that, it's great to have time to draw again! I'm having so much fun on Tegaki doing some sketches and one or another coloured entry.
Oh well, I still have to return to Évora to do more two exams to improve my grade, then I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........for one week that is.

And now the tegaki pictures, put here so you don't get spam in your browser window )

Oh, and God bless Ubuntu. Do you know when Windows does updates? Yes, those updates that are supposed to "improve" the OS?
Well, Ubuntu's updates REALLY improve the OS. If you suggest something, they will do. If there's a bug, they will correct. I didn't use Ubuntu that much because my tablet and broadband modem wouldn't work there, with the new version they do work! Ubuntu is getting simpler and simpler with each update, which helps us, geek people that still isn't geek enough to use the console and programming-stuff.
Screw you Vista, I'm using Ubuntu whenever I can. *dances* (I'm using it now, lulz)

I've been busy studying, one more exam to go, one to improve my grade, one test and let's hope I don't have more to do.
And I guess I should post some of my tegaki doodles.

This describes well how I've felt in the past few days, I'm better now, but still busy studying. (And the breast pain is gone too...FINALLY! They've been hurting for more than a month)

I was tired of studying Animal Phisiology, then I realized my teacher's notes were actually better then the book, easier to study too. Who would know? The teacher isn't a great Animal Phisiologist explainer in class.

What the tag says. I DRAW HYOOOOMANS TOO!!!!11one (And Patrick Bauchau is awesome)

This one too, since it's cute and I like it.

Well, back to my study. This time is genetics (I like genetic).

I've been cooking lately. I'm fairly good, but my pasta was a little un-salty (it tastes better when I put cheese on top, god bless cheese).

Apart from studying, I've nothing more to talk about.
I'll leave you with a doodle.

Oh yey, 2009! I don't know about you guys but I agree with a cousin of mine, 2009 sounds bad. Unlike 2008, that year sounded nice. Dois mil e oito...much better than dois mil e nove.

Oh well, I never make resolutions, when I have something in mind to do I'll do it anyway, not because it's a new year's resolution.

But because lots of people have been doing them, I'll make my own.

I CHALLENGE MYSELF TO DRAW SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATIONS OF POKEMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!!!!111oneone
best resolution ever!

What's the point of having christmas vacations if we are not going to use them to rest, but to study for the upcoming exams.

And I've learned my lesson, no more will I take part in a project which my job is graphic design, NEVER AGAIN. It's probably the fourth time I modify this stupid logo and I can't take it anymore. I have to study a lot and now I'm stuck with this crap since the guy who's running the project can't make up his mind! UGH!

Note: Thanks for those who replied to my last entry btw. I found a pamphlet about the european union, more specifically work and study. I'll contact the people/institutions listed there for more help on my case.
And I don't think I'll ever want to talk about that subject again, mainly because my class mates keep talking and complaining about that conference, and when I tell them my solution they keep yelling at me and asking me questions. Thing is, it's MY solution, they have to find theirs! They keep thinking that they MUST do what people tell them to do, which is of course, wrong. Oh well, life's hard.

After a lecture on jobs in biology, I find myself in another crisis. Not one of those "what will I do in the future", more of a "how can I survive with what I want to do in the future".

If there's anybody foreign reading this livejournal, would you be interested in spending a little time talking about your country. More specifically: how is the style of life in you country? Is it good? Bad? Your minimal gaining is good enough for you to survive? The products are affordable? Is creating a family there an easy task or money is always a difficulty? That sort of thing.

I would like to stay in Europe, but if someone from another continent wants to tell me about their country, go ahead, I don't mind :)

Oh, and if you think you can pass this post to someone who could lend me that information, be my guest.

I'm insane...totally insane....I jumped out of a moving train.
It's...true...OMG WHAT THE HELL?!
I'm fine, the train didn't stop for too long in the station I had to get out, a guy in front of me jumped and I, without thinking, jumped too. But only after I thought it was stupid because I fell and could got hurt, badly hurt.
Oh well, but I did not, my back is aching but nothing serious. It was a dumb thing to do, I'll never do it again.

And talking about ache.
I look so damn good in my traje! (But the shoes made my feet bleed....literally)
